Fear, Anxiety, and a Special Announcement!
Practical ways to breathe easier this season (and something I can’t wait to tell you about)
Happy Friday, friend!
I wanted to send this newsletter today because tomorrow is November 1st—and for many of us, that marks the unofficial start of the holiday season, or maybe it’s the unofficial start of holiday anxiety as we begin to wrap our minds around how to get it all done! Here’s my advice—one day at a time. And for some of you going through harder things, one moment at a time.
Yesterday I was on the TODAY Show, and I wanted to share this segment where we talked about fear and anxiety. They show up differently, but often we respond to them in similar ways. In the interview, I shared a great piece of advice from my daughter Natalia about how she stays present and grounded. I also shared simple strategies for managing anxiety. Whether you’re facing a big life shift or holiday stress (family issues anyone?), watch the segment for actionable tools you can use right now.

My Good Thing
I am so grateful to all of you who have supported the book already, and I also want to let you know the audiobook (read by me!) comes out in November! I know so many of you don’t have the time to read, but perhaps you can listen on your drives or while decorating or wrapping! Hopefully it will bring you some peace. If you have read a few chapters All Is Calm-ish, PLEASE consider writing a review. Reviews help Amazon and Goodreads show the book to more people, and they are so important to authors. I SO appreciate it, and it lets me know what you think of the book.

Loved this conversation on the holidays with Rachel Cruze. Rachel is a fantastic interviewer and mom of three. SO many of you have said that this chat was especially helpful leading into the holidays.

A Special Announcement!
Would love to see you at one of my in-person book events! (There’s a special guest at my Ridgefield Playhouse event—keep reading!)

Why 3 Good Things?
Wellness isn’t one big thing—it’s three good things, or two good things, or five. It’s noticing the gifts of the life we have.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ve probably heard me talk about “3 Good Things.” It’s the question I often ask my kids and one of my favorite gratitude practices.
Research shows that identifying three good things each day can actually rewire your brain from negativity to optimism in just 30 days. Follow along for my 3GT each week! And send me yours! I want to hear from you.
